November 2007: Woodfold Converts Lean to Green
For the last 6 years Woodfold has been on a Lean Journey, learning and implementing lean methods to improve quality, increase productivity and reduce operational costs, essentially looking at reducing all non-value added activity through employee engagement and involvement. In 2007 Woodfold participated in a pilot project, funded by the EPA, to integrate environmental considerations into existing lean practices. The results we have achieved demonstrate how being lean and green is good business and good for the environment.
